Some of you have referred to to our show as a Goat Rodeo. I take from that your implication that our panel of astute racing historians might be considered "Rodeo Goats". Well, I'm of the opinion that "it takes one to know one." So I'm suggesting that many of you just might be rodeo goats, too.
Tonight, we'll present the top ten reasons YOU might be a rodeo goat! After hearing these reasons....if you have any personal accounts that might qualify you as a rodeo goat...we want to hear them.
Here is an example from tonight's top ten...submitted by one of our members who WILL at her request remain anonymous.
In my best Jeff Foxworthy voice..."If you've ever gone to straight to jail from the race track...YOU might be a rodeo goat!"

If you've ever rode in the back of pick-up truck all the way to the race ('cause the cab was already full) you might be a rodeo goat.
If your momma ever packed you a shoe-box- lunch to take to the race, and it included Vienna sausages....you might be a rodeo goat
If you've ever been pulled by a South Highway Patrolman because the tail lights on the race car trailer weren't working.......but stating working as soon as you got the rig stopped, much to his chagrin.........you might be a rodeo goat
If you've ever "slept" in a sleeping bag in Daytona's gravel parking lot, ('cause your dad said it was always "warm" in Daytona in February) as a severe cold front blew in.........you might be a frozen rodeo goat
If you've ever climbed the fence and taken a bath in the community swimming pool (after a dirt race)...YOU might be a rodeo goat!
If you proposed to your wife on Labor Day night covered in dirt from Chantilly Speedway you might be a Rodeo Goat.
If you ever took your passenger car out to help dry a muddy track so the races could start you might be a Rodeo Goat.
If you took a Greyhound to Darlington or a train to Rockingham you might be a Rodeo Goat.
If your best buddy's car had just failed the Virginia State Vechicle Inspection on Saturday afternoon and you decided to drive it 2 hours anyway to South Boston Speedway with a rejection sticker to see Pete Hamilton win a Grand American race, you might be a Rodeo Goat. You might be just a plain goat if you didn't go back down with your buddy to the Charlotte County, Virginia Court House for his trial for exceeding the safe speed limit in a vehicle with a rejected inspection sticker.
If you ever "wound up" in THEVICTORY LANE celebrations at Rockingham with Bobby Allison and Miss Firebird...........
