With Rex White and John Havac both appearing on this past Tuesday's show, I think it can be said that we were, indeed, "Racing Through History". I listened to both interviews with great interest and was duly impressed by both. What do you all think about this past Tuesday's show? One of the best? Would you like more such shows as that one? Would love to hear from you all.

I am not in charge of programming nor producing the show and what little part I do contribute is very minimal, but I was really proud to be a part of a show that presented listeners with that I thought were really great representations of history.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Tim, although, in the mix, I agree, this past Tuesday's show was one of the best 'racing through history' segments ever. Hope we do some more; it was a fun show.

I look forward each week to Racing Through History and enjoy them all. Last Tuesday's show was one of the special ones. Fastest two hours on radio.

I missed the show and it sounds like I missed a good one. Can hardly get enough of former drivers.

Good listen. Enjoyed the Rex White segment (listened to podcast version). Rex White referenced racing the 1957 Chevrolet a final time at Nashville in 1958 at the track's debut of its new paved surface. Rex said he won the pole, broke a wheel, and destroyed the car. Here is a link to where I posted about that race, Rex's wreck and Weatherly's win.

And someone (didn't catch who mentioned it) referenced a Martinsville program with a red cover and a black-and-white photo of Rex White in a #40 1958 Chevrolet. Here is what it looked like.

Was the program for the Old Dominion 500 won by - Rex White. Here is Tim Leeming's post about that race.

Chase that's it! That's the program I was referring to. My parents attended that race, and I've seen the old program forever. Remembered Rex with the unfamiliar #40.
