When I was a kid I spent a LOT of time at the Utica-Rome Dragway. My father worked there, so I was there pretty much every Friday and Saturday night from 1970 until my parents divorced in 1977. There was one racer there who ALWAYS took the time to talk with me and my sister, Sue. His name is Worthy Graham and he was from Syracuse. He drove a Super Stock Impala or Challenger (not sure which.) He would always go out of his way to buy my sister and I each a can of Coke and a bag of peanuts, and he was always so gracious to my mom.

I would love to know if Worthy is still with us or if he has passed. I'd really like to get in contact with him, as he was such a huge influence to me and made such a great impression on me and my sister.

Anyone know anything about him?

LOL, I saw that pic the other day and thought, "that looks like Worthy's car!" So funny that I remembered it after all these years! Thanks for reposting. Yes, my father was certainly a character! He was good at what he did - whether it was with the cars or the insurance!
