Another Terrible Accident Involving Kyle Larson Saturday in Vegas

Driver, Kyle Larson continued to make the highlight reels yesterday at Las Vegas in the Nationwide race.

Larson, who generated much publicity after punting C.E. Falk for the last lap win in Daytona's Late Model Stock Car UNOH shootout and then nearly going in the stands in the Daytona Nationwide race, took a nasty looking hit in Las Vegas.

During the ESPN coverage, Dale Jarrett questionned Larson being so quick to take off the steering wheel, but I have read speculation that the steering wheel lock broke. Regardless, it was a nasty looing incident. Let's hope he doesn't continue to get his bell rung.

I don't know what to say...other than, Bless his heart...and pray for him. I just can't imagine being his Momma...

I think it was already on fire from the hit on the outside wall and from the angle of the left front tire the steering wasn't working. If this is correct then he was right to get the wheel off and start disconnecting all the hoses, wires and restraints and be ready to bail when it stopped. A scary crash for sure and thank heaven for safer barrier's outside and inside.

Bill I have seen several times these cars have hit walls and the steering wheel does some strange things, like this weekends with kyle or when Danica hit the inside wall in Daytona and her steering wheel went almost straight up towards the roof. Ive never been a lover of having the steering wheel up close as they do in todays racing. I learned with the wheel a good ways away just in case it came wanting to visit you up close and personal.

Same here Johnny, I noticed Kyle Larson's car never made any move except a straight line. Maybe the steering arm was broken because I cant imagine he wasnt fighting that wheel and trying to get some semblance of control. I too like my wheel away from my body as you do.

Not sure I understand where we "got it wrong" The lead article stated Nationwide series. I am simply stating that Maybe DW was remiss when he said on air that Kyle took off his steering wheel to soon. I am well aware that this was not cup but in my opinion the series doesnt really matter, JM was just saying and I was agreeing that the current drivers in what ever class seem to like the wheel to close in our opinion..Thats not starting rumors or anything remotely close to that.

Simply stating an opinion or have a pleasant discussion seems to become less fun when you're told its not the truth, is wrong or starting rumors.
