Get rid of the drivers motorhome lot and youll instantly see a pickup in the on track competition level in NASCAR.Drivers have become a little too friendly with each other and that has led to too much give and take on the race track. When drivers become too friendly with each other they are less likely to race each other hard when it counts.Drivers dont need to be pals, buddies and friends. They need to be rivals, foes and enemies to the bitter end. When drivers spend the weekend camping out in the infield they end up visiting with other drivers in the motorhome lot. They grill steaks, tell stories, play video games and gather up for poker.NASCAR drivers have become just a little too friendly with each other. When Jimmie Johnson goes over to Jeff Gordons motorhome for dinner the day before a big race it makes it that much harder for Jeff to give Jimmie the bump and run on race day. When Kyle Busch shows up at Dale Earnhardt Jrs motorhome for online racing that makes Junior think twice before moving Kyle out of the racing groove. There was a lot more racing and a lot less giving up positions before drivers started bringing their motorhomes to the racetrack.NASCAR, ban the motorhomes and lets have at it boys. Would it work?Whats your take on this subject

I dont know Johnny. Even if they stayed at the track suite's or at a hotel, the good friends would still come over. But the motorhome is essential. I may be just saying that because We've had one since I was born and it has really come in handy. That way, after practice and the Nationwide quals come on for example, you're not gonna drive15-30 to get to your hotel, watch tv or something, then come back in a hour or so, and your not gonna stay around the hot track with nothing to do if it's an impound race. Yes I do agree Nascar needs more rivalry and bumping, etc. But I'm just saying that they need a motorhome.Anyway thats my point of view.-Cody

Johnny, I can only assume that you have already fired up that still at MGR and are sampling the product. Or, are you saying Duck Boy doesn't have a motorhome? Or is it Dodger that doesn't have the motorhome. What about the good old days with Joe Weatherly and Curtis Turner? Were they buddies? What about The Master and The Legend? They can't be friends and race? I can't afford a motorhome anyways, so I guess I need to visit the third turn tunnel at MGR.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

First off were we really friends back in the 60's?? neither of us stayed around overnight after a race and surely didnt arrive several days in advance to plan our hot dog roast with DW and his cronies.Yes we are great friends now off the track and maybe on the track--HA HA HA-- but we dont camp next door to each other each week at the track of next weeks race. And the third turn is getting better each week so watch that watermelon thats sliced over at the next shin--dig. And Ole DW says you splashed mud on him in Mrytle Beach in 70 so imagine that. Tim Leeming said:

You know Cody back in the 60's we never had time to parlay at the track like they do now--we pulled all night to get to the track in time to qualify and after the race we were off on the road to the next race so i dont see why they have to set around and drink their lemonaide even if its not Mikes. And no the Motor home is not essential. It just makes life just coushey for them. WE bought our first motorhome in 77 but ive never used it to pull the car to a track. First off I value my life more than that, she is pickey over that ride. But yes we stayed at the motel and worked all night in the parking lot to be able to run the next day----Now todays drivers ,well lets just say they aint cut from the same mold that Tim,Jeff,Billy or even ole Junior was whittled from .. ditto....and, drivers were accessible when they hung out in the garage at their car or later at the team hauler instead of disappearing off to their motorhome to avoid press and fans.
