Gosh bless 'em. Those folks at Kentucky Speedway have finally pulled out the BIG GUNS and enlisted The KiNG to try to help sell tix. A lotta folks would do a lotta things to meet Richard Petty. Not sure this is one of those things.

Customers who purchase or renew season tickets for Kentucky Speedways five NASCAR event 2012 season on or before Wednesday, January 18, 2012 will be automatically entered to receive one of 250 invitations for two to an exclusive Tireside Chat with Hall of Fame NASCAR legend Richard Petty at Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Vevay, Ind., on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012.

The seven-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) team owner known as The King after racing a record 200 victories in his iconic No. 43 STP machine from 1960 to 1984, will relay his career experiences and answer Kentucky Speedway season ticket customer questions during the Tireside Chat.

Season tickets for the 107,000-capacity facilitys 13th season start at $179 and include significant benefits such as an opportunity to purchase as many as 12 additional tickets to the June 30 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Quaker State 400 before they go on sale to the general public.

Season Tickets and season campsites can be purchased by logging on to http://www.kentuckyspeedway.com/tickets , calling 859-578-2300 or visiting the speedway corporate offices at 1 Speedway Dr., Sparta, Ky., 41086 just off Interstate 71 Exit 57 and state Highway 35 weekdays from 9:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m.

Joe Gibbs Racing star Kyle Busch returns to Kentucky Speedway to defend his Quaker State 400 title against three-time series champion Tony Stewart and a field of fan-favorite personalities as part of a season-opening weekend that also includes the Friday, June 29 NASCAR Nationwide Series Feed The Children 300 and Thursday, June 28 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 225. Two hundred twenty-five miles of NASCAR Camping Truck Series action returns Friday, Sept. 21 to open a second speedway weekend that also features a 300-mile NASCAR Nationwide Series battle on Saturday, Sept. 22.

January 31?? That's my birthday!

Buy tickets to Kentucky Speedway!! Ehh, I'm out.

I thought the Waltrip boys were big up there. They can't move tickets? And how about that other guy from Owensboro - whatsiz name? Mayfield - that's it! What's he into these days? Oh... wait... oh yeah. Never mind.
