I haven' t been on in quite awhile because I have been so busy! Since starting my account on here i decided to go back to college and have been working on a couple of degrees. I am still looking for anyone out there that may have knew or might have any pics that may contain my grandfather. I am not sure of exact dates because both my grandparents have passed away and my dad is not sure because he was in the service. His name is Hershell Scott but he went by the name "Buster" Scott. The one vivd picture I remeber my grandparents showing me were of him beside his number 00 car with his name on the car. the story was told that he drove for Buck Jones on numerous occasions on the dirt tracks of the carolinas. He would have been in his 30's black hair tall and thin. One distinct feature was his nose was crooked naturally. He drove cars and my grandmother raced boats. They lived around this time in the Camden South Carolina area. Once my dad was out of the service and met my mom they moved away and myself and my older sister were raised around race tracks. If anyone out there recalls him or may have a picture they think may contain him please contact me on here or leave me a message i really would appreciate it. I want to be able to show my children my family history around racing.

I have a recollection of a Buster Scott. I certainly remember Buck Jones. I was always around the race tracks in Columbia, Newberry, Sumter, Leesville, and anywhere else in South Carolina. I never had a camera with me so pictures of him are not likely to be in anything I have. I'll go through some of the old newspapers I have regarding the races in the 60s. I'll let you know if I find anything. Great to have you back here! Hang around and share with us.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.
