Grandsons Simplify Favorite Driver Pick

I guess through the years we've all had different reasons to pick a favorite driver. Today , both of my grandsons happened to be at my home watching (between my naps) the New Hampshire race with me. Daughter, Gwyn's son, 6 year old Connor has always pulled for Jimmie Johnson because his dad owns a carpet installation business and his biggest client is Jimmie's sponsor, Lowe's. That makes perfect sense to me. Daughter, Stacey's son, 10 year old Tommy pulls for Denny Hamlin and I always figured it was because he was from my hometown Richmond, Virginia area.

During the race today, Connor asked Tommy why he pulled for Denny. This was Tommy's answer: "Denny is a good driver and his last name starts with the letters H - A - M. Why wouldn't I pull for a driver whose last name starts with my favorite food?" And now I know the rest of the story!

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Smart Kid. Also being from the ham capital of the world don't hurt any either. Anyone hungry? Thanks for sharing Dave now I have to call granny and tell her what I want for supper.
