Just a little note from me to thank Harvey and all the ladies and gentlemen involved with the Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society organization for a wonderful Friday Night
Banquet for the Hall of Fame induction. Beautiful ceremony and the food was awesome. I think everyone had a great time. Unbelieveable to see Sam Sommers again after all these years.
Today, Saturday, was a special celebration for Veterans and was beautifully conducted. We great to see so many folks out to celebrate our Veterans and to participate in the history of Augusta Interational Raceway. Got sort of nostaglic walking down the pit road for the old raod course. I actually parked my van there and as I walked toward the auditorium it was almost as though I could see Fireball Roberts and Joe Weatherly pitting ahead of me.
No matter how many of these events I attend, at Columbia, Occonneechee, Middle Georgia, Mooresville, or wherever else the future may lead, it always brings a memory of some kind to my heart and my mind. Every event introduces me to new people, many times young folks who have a real interest in the history of the sport and that always makes my heart pump a little faster. There is hope that the past will be remembered, celebrated and embraced by a new generations of fans.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.
