Pink was popular

For years young boys and girls were taught that "Pink" was a girl's color but to some macho men and hard driving woman found "Pink" the color of choice for their race cars. So besides Johnny Hunt in his `68 Ford Torino Late Model racing in the Permatex 300 at Daytona, what other drivers drove a "Pink" car? - Add photo if possible Photo from my personal collection

I had never seen a pink John Sears car, but that is his #4.

Those are great shots Dave and, I never knew there were so many? One that really catches my eye is the Wood Bros.21, that's a good looking race car. I can't picture Big John Sears in a pink car though!!??

This one would have made a good trivia question. What other time did Earnhardt race a pink car?

1989 IROC Camaro ( I still miss the IROC series)

One of the more popular Pinks. Good pick

Donnie Allison also drove the Slender You at some time. The unforgettable Marty Robbins in the Pink Daytona, that one stands out, nice pick.

Actually, the discussion should have been about Pink Cars prior to the Race for a Cure drive that produced many, many pink paint schemes, all of which are for an excellent cause but, Pink has become a more popular choice since the Breast Cancer awareness movement and the color is not as infrequent as it once was.

About John Sears' #4 Dodge owned by Marvin Mills - The car was not actually pink but red. Marvin has told me that most cameras from back then usually didn't develop the full color and appeared pink.

I read a notation that the color was supposed to be "Salmon."

Those were the best looking IROC cars IMO, and don't look bad dressed in "Pink"

How about the Exide cars?

Originally with Geoff Bodine after he bought the team of the late Alan Kulwicki...

... and later with Jeff Burton when he raced for Jack Roush.
