MASON, Barbara Clements, 82, widow of M.L. "Buck" Mason, died peacefully on January 3, 2015, surrounded by many family members. She was the only child of Richard F. Clements and Beulah H. Covington. Barbara worked for Manufacturer's Import Company for over 30 years. She is survived by one daughter, Marianne Gunn Glenn; and four sons, Curtis Sheppard Mason Sr., Edgar Ray Gunn Jr. and wife, Lynda, Richard Allen Gunn and wife, Susan, Kevin Colby Oliver and wife, Amy. She is survived by 12 grandchildren, Curt Mason Jr., Beth Bruno, Heather Tuck, Maggie Knight, Allyson Gunn, Jason Dismuke, Kayce Dismuke, Charles McDonough, Eric McDonough, Daniel McDonough, Jack Oliver and Sam Oliver. She is survived by 17 great-grandchildren, Caleb Mason, Chandler Mason, Scottie Gunn, Cole Bruno, Drew Tuck, Braden Tuck, Breanna Knight, Ellyssa Knight, Cole Lee Knight, Zach McDonough, Ariana McDonough, Josie Rose McDonough, Madeline McDonough, Taylor McDonough, James McDonough, McKenzie Dismuke and Emma Dismuke. Barbara was predeceased by her much loved daughter-in-law, Ellen Mason (wife of Curtis), and she was greatly looking forward to catching up with Ellen in Heaven. Barbara loved all of her daughters-in-law and she felt blessed to have them all in her family. Since Barbara hated funerals and loved education, she has donated her body to the State Anatomical Program for medical education and research. Per her wishes, there will be no funeral or service. The family will gather for a private remembrance and celebration of her life at a later date. Barbara was always an advocate of re-use, re-cycle and re-purpose, so please consider making a choice to become an organ donor or body donor, so you can perhaps leave a lasting legacy or life-changing gift for others.

I count myself lucky to have a CD made from a Joe Kelly 78 rpm copy of her song performed by Crazy Joe Maphis in 1951. R.I.P. Mrs. Mason
