Sad to hear. Jim is the oldest living Indy 500 winner, I think. Our prayers are with him and his family.
I didn't get to see the Truck race at Homestead, but did see most of the Nationwide race and all of the Cup race. I enjoyed both very much. I don't know what one could dislike about the way this season ended...unless of course, if one happens to be a die-hard Carl Edwards fan...
This was a good day and a good season for NASCAR. Hopefully having a new champion (other than Jimmie) and having it come down to the end as it did...will give the fans something to look forward to and stir up some more interest. Sure would be nice to see those stands fill up again and see more sponsors clamoring to get a piece of the action.
Well said, Randy! I couldn't agree with you more. I haven't been there yet, but fully intend to go....hopefully multiple times.
Nice report, Mr. Legend!! Wish I could have been there with y'all.
Did yo have to post the dang picture? I'm gonna have to adjust the Rules of Engagement.
This has been an awesome thread. Keep it up guys! This could be habit forming!!
Lol..yes I do, but I never raced one...only Chevrolets. Se how easily I said Chevrolet,
I love it when I'm right! I picked him at the beginning of the season and stuck with him. I'm so sorry for all you fine, "feathered" f-f-f-f-fo-fo-f0-f0r-f0r-ford fans. I have a hard time even saying that word. Lol!!
But...about Carl. He handled the hard-fought "loss" with a lot of class.
