Hey folks,
I have a (sort of) solution. I added a tab in the menu for "Mobile Chat". The url is http://racersreunion.com/chat/mobile. You can see this on an Android now. The issue is....you'll need to open another instance of the site to do something else while you're chatting. This requires you to go back and forth between browser tabs. I agree not a perfect solution. But, for listening to the radio....just open up the site and click radio listen button....open up another instance and click Mobile Chat...you're in business.
I'm still looking for a better solution.

Jeff,
How do you use the right-click on an android tablet?

I have no idea, Dennis. I'm not a tablet user.
I finally have an update on this issue. For those who may not have encountered it yet...some of the groups (clubs) that were created in 2008 & 2009...possibly a few after that did not "import well" into the new site. The newer groups imported very well. In the older groups (due to an early version of the old ning site) the site did not adjust photos sizes upon upload. Although they looked ok on the ning site, that has caused an issue on this site. The enlarged photos encroach on the comment space and move the edit (gear wheel) out of site. It makes the some of the group comments impossible to read.
Here's the good news...there's a fix. Here's the bad news...it ain't an easy one. The fine support folks at JamRoom have come up with away to correct them...and it goes like this:
The photos are too large and they are pushing the quote/modify/delete buttons over to the right, but what needs to be done is change the images width size, to do that you'll need the comment ID and to get that you'll want to right click on one of the images that is too large, then click Inspect Element and look for this code.
<div id= "bc102606" style= "position: absolute; top: 5px; right: 0px; display: none;" ></div>
The comment update link is what you want to copy and can be found inside the div above.
It will look something like this:
http: //racersreunion.com/comment/update/id=102606
To be able to do this you will need group or site admin access. Don't worry...I don't expect ya'll to
tackle this...I'll get to them all eventually.
What I would like is for you to list the groups with problems here on this post...so I have a
place to start .

Jeff,
Have you noticed on the Activity or Home page (middle section) that are member/members repeating themselves liking the same photo gallery two or three times, creating a new gallery, or listing about (20) YouTube videos of non-racing videos? Is this an accident or what is going on?

Dennis,
I see how the YouTube videos are appearing. This system allows members to "sync" their YouTube account with their profile page. In this particular situation this member has a lot of racing content on his YouTube channel....but it also has a lot of non-racing content. There are 432 videos on his YouTube account. So, when it is synced they all appear.
Needless to say, when I added this feature I didn't anticipate this. The only way I can approach this is to ask that members not sync YouTube accounts that include non-racing content....or just delete the YouTube sync feature, which will penalize those that have legit content. For us as admins to delete the "non-racing" videos that appear in the sync could turn into a full-time job for someone. I don't see that happening since we don't have any full-time employees.
I don't like the result...and these videos do not need to be displayed on this site, so the only thing that will work...all the way around....is to remove the youtube sync feature.
As for the multiple likes...I don't really see that as anything that needs to be fixed right now, but I will continue to watch it. The activity feed will display ALL activity including someone who updates a post 2 and 3 times.
Hope this helps!
Jeff

Dennis, I manually deleted all the non-racing stuff and posted a notice in a new topic that we were deactivating this feature. Thanks for the heads-up
