Potentially disastrous fire avoided today at Level Cross' Petty's Garage

General

RICHARD PETTY MUSEUM FIRE
WHAT KIND FIRE FIGHTING EQUIPMENT IS THIS ? AN ELECTRONIC BOX HOOKED TO WIRE WRAPPED CROW BAR ? LOOKS LIKE A METAL DETECTOR ?

DID NOTICED (3) RICHARD PETTY'S STP RACE HELMETS/STP RACE UNIFORM MANNEQUIN DUMMIES RESCUE FROM MUSEUM FIRE ON TABLE.

( 1) 1970'S OPEN FACE RACE HELMET, ( 1) 1980'S CLOSED FACE RACE HELMET, AND ( 1) 1992 RICHARD PETTY STP FAN APPRECIATION CLOSED FACE SIMPSON HELMET.

(3) FIRE TRUCKS IN FRONT OF (BROWN BLDG.) (THE NEW/OLD LOCATION) RICHARD PETTY MUSEUM ?

THE OLD 1990'S RICHARD PETTY MUSEUM WAS SMALL, THAT WAS LOCATED NEXT TO OLD LEE PETTY'S HOUSE.

WHAT HAPPEN TO THE NEW RICHARD PETTY MUSEUM DOWN THE ROAD ?
SOUND LIKE THE OLD PETTY memorabilia, old cars, trophies and specialty cars CAME BACK HOME ?

There was a lot of heavy smoke but the fire was contained in that room, Russell said, adding that some smoke had gotten into a part of the museum known as the Red Room."

"Russell said it was fortunate that there were people in the building, which houses Petty memorabilia, old cars, trophies and specialty cars."

Charter Chatter: Wood Brothers No Longer a part of Race Team Alliance (RTA)

Current NASCAR

THE "NASCAR RACE HUB" CABLE SHOW MENTION THAT WOOD BROS. FORD RACE TEAM COULD RUN THE 2016 SEASON AS AN PETTY/WOOD BROS. FORD CHARTER TEAM OR PENSKE/WOOD BROS. FORD CHARTER TEAM IF NASCAR OK'S IT ??

THERE SHOULD BE A "GRAND FATHER CHARTER CLAUSE", THAT THE RACE TEAMS WITH THE MOST MEMBERS INDUCTED IN NASCAR HALL OF FAME BE GIVING "LIFE-TIME CHARTERS", LIKE THE PETTY RACE TEAM AND WOOD BROS. RACE TEAM.

This is a program from "The Dog Track" located in Moyock, NC just south of the Virginia state line on route 168. It had originally been built by two businessmen from Norfolk, VA and operated as a dog racing venue.

WITH ALL THE RUMOR TALES OF LATE 80s OF MOVING THE LOCATION OF RICHMOND AREA RACE TRACKS OF RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY, LOCATED IN HENRICO COUNTY,VA. TO ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY,VA AND SOUTHSIDE SPEEDWAY IN CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA.. TO NEW KENT COUNTY,VA

WONDER IF THEIR NAMES WOULD STILL BE RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY AND SOUTHSIDE SPEEDWAY ?
