Augusta International Raceway Peservation Society is sad to inform the racing community that Chris Arrington of Augusta Georgia passed away suddenly 3/18/15. Chris a member of AIRPS was a racecar builder and nephew of the late Big John Arrington, driver/builder.
Fred Ray's son Steve Ray will be the 2015 recipent of the Fre Harper Award at the AIRPS HOF Banquet in September. If you have any coments, photo's you would like in the program let me know . Harvey Tollison 706-829-6825
Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society is happy to announce the 2015 winner of the 2015 Fred Harper Lifetime Achievement Award will be Steve Ray of Graniteville,S.C . Steve has been a supporter of AIRPS for years, bringing his Dad's (Fred Ray) race car to our event. Steve has worked hard to keep the memory of his dad going and to support racing history. AIRPS HOF member Jack Cosnahan passed away at his home in Augusta Ga 3/6/15. He will be missed by AIRPS who proudly inducteed him in the HOF.
Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society (AIRPS) is proud to announce our annual Life Time Achievement Award for charter member the late Fred Harper. Fred was a driver , flagman and about anything needed at the race track. He was active in AIRPS until his passing. The Fred Harper Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at the AIRPS HOF Banquet in September .
