In case you dont know the answer look up Denny Hamlins qualifying today at Charlotte. That will tell you but you also got to hear the interview afterwards to get the answer to the question-- What is the definition of flat out---
You know if all the hype continues and the tracks keep losing their races to the hunger of owners such as Bruton Smith-- it makes the new group of racers more interesting every week. Wouldnt it be great to see on a regular basis a weekly series like what has started at Rockingham and with the spice to add at least once a month a great old school modified race such as the " Bell & Bell " vintage modifieds.
Think me bias but it could become a reality, especially with Bobby Williamson controlling the reins ---- It is conceivable and very user friendly
A shootout from long distance?? If you run it on a shorter track you get the true aspect of a shootout. A rifle on a big track or a pistol on a short track. My feeling is the short track would draw way more seat warmers and really bring back the old school desire that a lot of spectators are asking for
Why Richmond? Why not Rockingham ? or or open North Wilkesboro -- heck Atlanta would fair better than Charlotte, at least they arent arguing with city hall....
Give a thought to this even----Darlington, now that would be a barn storming place to hold a shootout
In case you have a moment of "cant remember this" here it is being told by Richard Childress
as the cars run-- kinda like that one "As the World Turns"
an tv series in the making here -- might be better than some of these detective series
As a lasting final tribute to Dick Trickle Brother Carl Edwards did it in a lasting toast------------------------------------------------
I like to keep things on the plus side in life---posting the tape will bring no good to the loosing of a great guy.. lets remember him as the great person he was........ Memories
