There has been talk lately that some may have connections with people in high places, very high places.
If so then Jimmie Johnson may have said the wrong thing Sunday because some force or magnetic drawing gave him the slight alignment adjustment for just a bit to create the slip slide away that placed Dennie Hamlin out of contention today that he felt all the way to his stomach.
But with every dark cloud there is a rainbow that some claim can be used . In steps the rainbow warrior Jeff Gordon and looks into the skys for guidance and it came in the form of rain.
Jeff wins todays rain shortened race after teammate Jimmie plays bumper cars with Dennie . And to top it all off Junior has tranny trouble and finishes 31st- but keeps the points lead, now aint that kool. This gives Carol another chapter in her weekly AS NASCAR TURNS column she is putting out for alls enjoyment. Ok now I bet there are at least a dozen differences of opinion out there so --without further do WRITERS grab you keyboard-----------------------------------------memories
There are some people who still got a little common sense here at SCRR (my new name for the site) and most will follow the lead the great REV. STAGGER has bestowed upon Bobby Williamson. Even though he performs reasonably well rockin with a mike within reach he does seem to speed up when two things are near, one is when someone finds a ghost track and he isnt fluent with info about this track and the other is when someone gets in his mirror. Im speaking of his rear view mirror.
Harry Gant was a calculating driver, always there in the end . OLd left hander BW is calculating when he is rocking, He has had it hot a time or two because it went to squeaking (like a piston thats been gaulded ) That was taken care of by some pop corn oil im told. Yes they are alike in many ways----but also o so different in others. They both have the solution to Nascars problem, Dont believe me?go ask either one of them. Dave knows.
theres that famous sticker from the past shining proud.. One other thing about the photo of the 57 --it looks to be lax,not without but not enough bars visible in the car. what you say Dave
Ok Im gonna stir the pot a little-- The 90 is a chevy style body , look at the narrow windows behind driver and the block out for those big ole 4 headlights they came with-- the other is a no brainer olds wonder if the templates fit them cars as close as they do today -- that wall sure looks like bristol but I only tried to dodge the walls.not read them
You know TMC you put a great piece up there. Maybe you know it and maybe you dont but Richard said one Sentence in the Video that tells it all to the sport------------------------ He said when you give the autograph to the fans it is a thank you to them for coming, Without the fans we would have nothing.
If track promoters would think without the fans you wouldnt have no sponsors or no cars or drivers.
99 44/100 of us here on R/R are to old for this BS In our time you better be ahead of the curve on this subject. SHHHHHH listen, did you hear that flat Head crank up?? Must be gettin close to a race SOMEwhere no more baby talk Ma or you gonna be makin formula
Not immediate BUT before January thats for sure---Hey wait a minute, where have I heard this before.. Didnt Brad say that to Anjolina or what ever her name is. Does this belong in Silly season??.. Have to wait till Tuesday and get Rev Staggers official word on this
Wouldnt it be nice to throw the whole car into the dump---then come back with car thats not aero --they built plenty of them a few years ago so its not like they dont know how... you can keep the motor if you wish but wouldnt it be nice to see an old 350 chevy or 351 ford or even a 360 dodge powered car out there.
You can build all the horsepower you want but if you lack traction all is for not. Limit the tires to 8 inches in width. No wings on rear either and a mandatory wicker on top to mess the air up big time.
Enough yet?
put another road course in the mix,not one thats used now but another new one like Atlanta or Birmingham --
More short tracks--Rockinham,North Wilksboro,oh dear should I say this or not---How about a couple of dirt tracks, Eldora or that neat track in north Ga
Ok now you saying im being bias because i didnt go west--draw a line and have an east and west division.... yup and then the twelve best from each side meet in the middle to have a best of five shootout..
Now replay the yesteryears, they had more horsepower than they could use because the 8 inch tire restricted the power to the ground. you sure as heck wont sail into a corner on them WFO without being sideways-----and that takes talent but it also kills your longivity on tires.
Put those items listed in a package and you will have a Saturday nite shootout at every track because the talent is that good and the cars will be that close,
And throw away the kissing of the bricks and spraying the bubbly---rather put a great looking girl up there to smooch the driver and have him raise a cheer to the crowd with the flag. You remember how Fred Lorenson or Cale or even Jr Johnson did it?? now you getting the picture..
And sponsors you remember when we didnt have them?? we flew like all get out then, now how did they get in the picture so big?
Now this one I dont know about, its teams--should you be limited to only two cars on a team? True a lot of wives and mothers would own cars but it breaks up domination and puts one on one creativity back in the sport. Page two later
They got it just about set up now with electronics so a person with Computer expertise could very well start playing with the COT or maybe have the headsup display show something it shouldnt---that would be a mess on pit road
