Just watched that race--sure brings back old memories-----but I learned something either I had forgotten or never knew, That Fred lorensen was running a car with A/C... Never knew that and boy was they fast on pitstops 30 second stops wow. Also did you see Kris out standing in pit road during a race while they were changing a tire???Boy we have come a long way baby.....---------------------------------Memories

Long, 19, has signed a two-year deal to drive the No. 70 Biomet Chevrolet for ML Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series .

Im really excited about it, said Long, who visited the Warsaw, Ind.-based shop last week to have her seat fitted in the car. Weve been looking forward to an opportunity like this. Were just glad that it all came together.

Long ran limited seasons in the Camping World Truck series in 2011 and 2010. Her best qualifying effort was fifth at Daytona International Speedway last February. She scored a career -high 11th-place finish in the Truck race at Texas Motor Speedway last April driving for her family-owned Panhandle Motorsports.

The Pensacola, Fla., native, who became the youngest female to win the Snowball Derby in 2010 (and acknowledges she still glances at the trophy every night), is looking forward to acclimating with crew chief Mark Gutekunst and her new team on Monday and Tuesday during a test at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

Down here in the deep S O U T H Winn-Dixie is still very much in business and so is Bi-Lo..

The reference to Winn-Dixie is because Mark had a Streak of wins driving the #60 with Winn Dixie tattooed on it. The current Sponsor on the car will be Interstate Batteries. The first race for Mark is scheduled to be at Las Vegas to start with others to follow ..

As far as the Winn Dixie sponsorship it was for a truck--- ever heard the saying------ "I would drive to the west coast in a Winn Dixie truck for that" ---- Oh yeah I dont smoke,chew or drink but I do like my women (the car is my other woman) ---------------------------------------memories

Since hot shoe Kyle has been put on restriction by everyone in the racing world now what will the next step be..

Seems as though Joe Gibbs didnt skip a beat on this.Kyle has a pretty good record in Nationwide driving the Toyota #18 to many victories. So who is the new (?) kid on the block. Seems as though Mark Martin has stepped up to manhandle the kids ride for a few races. If you remember Mark had kinda a streak going in that Winn Dixie car he drove to so many victories in the Bush series. So does that mean Mark will drive to the front like he did so many times before?? Just think there may be a Win-Dixie truck for him to drive in the truck series ---You know things happen-------------------------------Memories

......It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Wanda Lund the evening of Thursday, January 5th. Details are still forthcoming but initial indications are she took her own life, as indicated by a note left behind. A close family health problem as well as some recent news she received health wise were obviously a burden she could not bear.....

In racing you should know when you got it made whether you are active or retired. Kyle Bush goofs up big time first by flying low in a school zone. Then he goes off on the track.... Then his brother blows it by using unauthorized hand signals then goes verbal on Dr Punch... Al Unser Jr gets a DUI in 2007and gets his wrist slapped, now he gets popped again for racing on city streets A N D DUI again.... now his first DUI is brought back alive by the corts and added to the present one...... Now he is off to court to see the person in the Robe in New Mexico courts-----wonder how this will be plead. Maybe Brian can give him some pointers

Or do you have other ideas??????
