He reminds me of my dad so much by the way he talks and tells tales from the good ole days. I can listen to him for hours I guess, but the real reason is the info he relays in his round about way. Talk on Jim, im listening

Could this be the beginning of a new conglomerate ? A new racing series ? the rebirth of "Southern Racing Association"? Think now and dont let Past Visions jump into your heads. This could be the second coming of the Good Ole Short Track series of yesteryear.Like in the past there was a crunch that brought local folks closer together, not wanting to drive hundreds of miles to enjoy a nite of fun.Now certain people are moving show dates around or canceling dates here just to please the operation of another over there. Not naming names or places because it is happening all over but the greed over money is overtaking the need to have a relaxing evening at an outdoor event .Would a new laid back series facilitate the need for our sport ? Call it what you like--Vintage Racing--- Old Modifieds --- Sportsman class-- Run what ya Brung--- Names are a dime a dozen, putting the series together so it wont IMPLODE is another but within our organization there is knowledge beyond the realm of requirement to orchestrate such a plan and to police it so as it will be for the good of all instead of one. I only have to look at Bobby and Paul and you can see the desire is there to make it happen. Every time Bobby or Paul or even Ronda talk of their outings there is a stir among the listeners and readers to want to not just participate but to be involved in the fun and enjoyment of the sport . Not so? Set down and watch and listen.

Are you saying that this spectacular show called R/R would not be s success if a nominal fee were charged?? Nascar is charging an enormous fee to go view their races whether it be short track or the ones where you watch with a telescope or just wait till they go by in that brief few seconds you have in front of you . I went to Daytona and set in a kinda expensive seat to watch the Bush cars run (some may know them by nationwide) and true I could see fairly well both ways --because it wasnt packed on either side of me -- but the cost of the ticket for two of us would have bought a season pass at most short tracks around us. Now nowhere down there did I get any information about the short tracks, next weeks race, what happened last race or even last year. Now true there was a program there that could be bought for the price of an outing to Out Back Steak House for two, which to buy, food or literature you are not sure of. Now you see my point,WHAT YOU SEE ON R/R or what you hear or read is gospel on here. So you see you are paying for this service by power, internet service, and your trusty computer. Two out of the three are not necessary but neither is B/S from Nascar

Telling it like it was

Stock Car Racing History

Why cant there be a segment like one time a month where a real racer like Billy Biscoe,Jim Streeter,Dave Marcus,or our other pole setters from back in the day gets on the show with a person such as another person of knowledge and they talk of the good ole days. For instance Bobby Allison's segment he did, that was great. Or when Dave Marcus was on or, I could go on and on!!This knowledge is being lost daily and if its not shared now one day someone will say "How did they do that".How many out there would like to hear the story and the how to do it techniques used back when basic tools and your hands were all you had.. I surely would-------------------------memories

Jim You had my attention thats for sure, It was almost like listening to my father talk about things, not of just racing in general but there was a message in you talking. You have a knowledge of how things were structured and thats a knowledge thats being lost day by day. My dad instilled things in my mind and some have gotten in a foggy area of my memory, but listening to you brought some of it out clear again.A person of your knowledge of how, what, where certain things were done is always a delight to hear again. I would like to hear you weekly on the show until you tell what you want to tell. People like you and certain others here on R/R I salute you, but please, please continue telling your story for the new breed to hear and understand why we are so passionate about our roots and our sport. Sir I await your next segment on the show whether it be for 5 minutes or 30 minutes. Until then I will await you in turn 4

New sites....?

General

To have a place for clubs and tracks to post would be great------------- if you can control what is posted. For example the Bell n Bell series that would be cool or Pauls bunch or the DARRA guys in fla.. If another organization wishes to post their vintage cars they should be allowed only if guidlines are followed.

As you know being a racer yourself, having a place to hang your helmet means a lot for morale and attention.A guy wins the consi race for the first time, true its only the last chance race to run the feature, but its his First win, you could be giving him a place to show off to the world with a photo what you and I didnt have,a place to be viewed by others. Doesnt seem like much but Robbie would post his win whether it be in a car or pedal car. Do it and i will bet you will be surprised to the count on hits.

Nascar and Racers Reunion

Current NASCAR

As an old dog you are, you have seen underpowered racers somehow come out on top or the top dog in this business. So dont cut yourself to short there sir, You just may one day be a guy behind that fancy microphone announcing the credits of the past year.------- But Wait you are doing that now arent you??
