At the Daytona 500 Champions Breakfast this morning McMurray had the best line: I woke up and 1st thing I was hoping was that Danica wasnt going to be on the cover of the paper.McMurray was being chased down on the last lap by Dale Earnhardt Jr who finished 2nd. Earnhardt is living up to his promise to be ruthless this year.Earnhardt moved up 17 positions in the closing laps going from 19th to 2nd.The win meant a lot for the entire race team. Im just happy for the whole team. Im happy for all the partners. Im happy for Felix and Teresa, happy for every single person thats ever been a part of this team. Its really important, said Chip Ganassi.McMurray thought his chance to win was slipping away when he saw Dale Earnhardt Jr in his rear view mirror. I looked in my mirror and saw the 88. This guy has won a lot of races here. But McMurray was fast enough to hold off Earnhardt at the checkered flag.McMurray tried to describe what it meant to win the Daytona 500. Its unbelievable. I cant really put it into words the way it feels, said McMurray.As a kid growing up, this is what you dream of, of being able to win the Daytona 500. How do you top a statement like that with the emotion he showed at the track--when have you ever seen a driver hud a trophy like he did

Two siestas in one race

This is not a normal Daytona race giving us two siestas in one race and all because of the person shown below letting hios "P O T" hole get in the way of racing unless you just put a cone in it and race around the flashing light----But I think Jamy showed his real desire in the victory circle when he hugged the trophy that was enough said there

Jamie is a driver that has fell on hard times as far as a driver in Nascar goes,he has been bounced around from one team to another kinda like a fill in car or maybe a test car of sorts. It amazed me that he was picked up by DEI and Chip because he had already been there,but he came out of the hole with a vengeance this year with a mission on his mind. Think back to all his other rides and did you ever see the determination look in his eyes that he has now. He is another one of the Missouri boys that has the desire. Now he has the win,I only hope this wasnt a freak win for him because he deserves better. Jr was on a hunt there at the last coming thru the pack like I remember another driver of past do. But lets not get hasty here, there are one or two more races at least for the two of them to tackle and one of them win. It would be neat to see them do battle all year and through the chase,but thats at least a few weeks off, time will tell

Like I said on the show thurs nite "if" she finishes she will be in the top 10----well she didnt finish but--if she had of stayed in the race in the position she was running she would have been up in the top 10 due to wrecks providing she avoided that circus of wrecks at the end. She cut her teeth last weekend in ARCA and went to school today in the Nationwide race so now we see what happens the next two weeks then we can rank her accordingly with the laws of Racers Reunion Jury

well Tim you have enlightened me on one thing, I do have to look closer to things here on the web site,I had not ever noticed that little do-dad over there before until this came across, and yo u really went and goofed up this time didnt you--If my memory serves me right disnt you stick your head out the window coming across I/20 the other day adjusting your spoiler/hat to see what worked best as far as brim positioning goes?Well word got back to the tech. office I guess and now you have been penalized and the first race isnt even started yet.o all that carry over from last year in points just went poof like Jeanie used to do. So now you got to run hard,write fast,kiss a lot of babies(thought i was going to write something else huh) and above all just be the Tim aka The Legend that we all have grown to have as our friend----oh by the way(yep he is back on fox again this year too) another small token for you my friend-------------------------------------
