Well Robbie it took 8 people to get it out and one axe ha ha not really but it did take the better part of the day to winch it out and on to a trailer so its not exactly a barn find but a deep woods find Robbie Solesbee said:
I don't know whether you need an archeological team to extract that car or a chainshaw and shovel.

on the lighter side of the coin bumpertag I am building a chevy coupe now and using the way of yesteryear to fabricate it,so I guess it will be considered a modified by some,an old coupe by others but in reality its a race car and yes it will compete as it will not be a poser --it may not not be squeaky clean and straight but it will be touch me please car-- here is what it looked like before we finally got it out of the woods

oh ooh oh you just missed hurting my feeling ha ha ha-- think back bumpertag, way back, well maybe you need to get someone who can go back in the day but racing started on dirt, out of any thing that could be pieced together and the coupes, sedans and skeeters evolved--now mind you that somewhere in the 70's i think there was a shift towards asphalt and the bodies became more new car like --i guess these are the cars you are looking for, but now tracks are taking up the pavement and the cars are taking it off too-- fenders that is so we are revolving around to the mods again --you arent hurting my feeling because we all can get along and the sandbox is big enough for a bunch of different kinds so would you have the open wheel cars which some refer to as modifieds go get in another sandbox? that would let those new style springloaded cars hike up their rear and throw dirt at each other without having a bunch of noisey modifieds setting around . my point of view only bumpertag --- its only racing and we dont do battle the way those gladiators do at bowman grey-----------------------------memories

Could this be a change in racing? to the good maybe?

Current NASCAR

If you can remember back when racing was really racing and there was help among the clan then you can read into this. You know Richard Childress is always looking for another way to improve his team soo what does he do? He goes out and sees this one car team thats showing great progress for what they have. This is what is called a helping hand.Furniture Row Racing will put the finishing touches on its technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing this week. A meeting is scheduled on Friday between principles of the two companies in hopes to strengthened the single car operation at FRR and in essence create a satellite fourth car for RCR. Joe Garone the general manager of the team said,"While the team may look the same on the outside, eternally we're much stronger, "One of the assets with the alliance with Richard Childress is our ability to be secure in the top 35."During the last quarter, they decided they needed to run the full season. Around May or June, they realized how much it hurt them as a team not to run the full season."In the offseason, FRRsaw the need and restructured its organization with an eye on expansion in the future. FRR acquired Mark McArdle, the former VP and director of competition at Richard Petty Motorsports, as its competition director and named former Michael Waltrip engineer Ryan Coniam crew chief for the No. 78. Pete Rondeau, who oversaw RPM's research and development program, joined FRR as car chief. Hows that for snatching the right people up.
