you ever been at a busy place and out of the blue (kinda) a person you have run into previously shows up right in front of you and avoiding them is impossible?

LAS VEGAS (AP) Jeff Gordon crashed during the final practice before Sunday's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where his pole-winning car was damaged enough that Hendrick Motorsports pulled out a backup Chevrolet.

Gordon had won the pole, but will have to drop to the rear of the field at the start of the race because he changed cars.

The accident happened in the final minutes of Saturday practice when Danica Patrick spun in front of him and Gordon was unable to avoid her car. Gordon's car suffered heavy damage to the nose and right rear. So he will start in the rear again, women !!

Tony acknowledges he is getting to be a bigger blimp on the radar screen if he is drawing attention of this degree.

It seems his or the track website has been hacked by ISIS.

After first seeing this my first impression was that dang Plymouth that Tim Leeming beat and banged with me with in the late 60s and early 70s on some of the finest dirt tracks in the south.

Just wish someone would buy this ole gal and let Tim play with her again.

This 1960 Plymouth Fury is said have been a one-owner, rust-free Texas car prior to the selling dealer restoring it into a great-looking Richard Petty tribute car. Similar to the car Petty drove at his first Daytona 500 (where he finished third ahead of his father Lee, as the listing points out), it's retained its original 361ci V8 and matching 3-speed, and though the car looks great throughout we especially dig the hand-painted lettering. Find it here on eBay in Addison, Texas with a $79,988 BIN.

Manual steering and brakes should give a properly old-fashioned feel behind the wheel, and wrestling with a powerful old boat like this sounds like a lot of funprovided youre in the right mood. For best results we recommend jumping in immediately after driving something small, nimble and European.

Well admit were no experts on early 60s Mopar powerplants, but suspect this car runs a 361 B block. No mechanical details are provided, though it is said to be the cars original motor. With something like several hundred pounds of insulation and interior pulled, we bet it hauls and makes a great sound while doing so.

or even this , you being called Whitey for using different terms but you dont reply when Whites are called everything in the sun. The trick is to not use any slang word in a horrible or meaningful way ,it should be no harm no foul. My take on this subject

People were happy and ecstatic over him winning and as usual there were fans holding out for autographs and maybe at least head shake letting them know there were noticed BUT no he zoned out everyone where I was at and stuck that snootie nose up in the air along with his partner in crime. To me he is just not quality fan appreciative. At least he isnt what I think a rep of our passion should be or act as.

Maybe someone saw it differently, I think I saw another person of Racers Reunion there,maybe they saw it differently and will post their view .....

Logano out front on pole AGAIN

Logano is on the pole for Sundays race but others are having a time just passing tec inspection.

Thirteen drivers including 4 former champions didnt even get on the track.Jeff Gordon said this was embarrassing.

Kevin starts on the outside but he has a chore to keep up with Joey.

But most of the attention was on those who didn't get a chance to qualify. Gordon and former champs Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart and Matt Kenseth were stuck in the paddock, even after NASCAR pushed back the start of qualifying by 15 minutes in hopes of clearing everyone.

''I don't know what to say about today,'' Stewart tweeted. ''Spent all of our practice working on qualifying. Didn't even get a chance to make a lap. Frustrating!''
