Heard of any haunted auto race tracks or haunted auto race museums?

General

Back around four or five years ago, at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame where I work, and back when there was still a little cafe inside there, there were two ladies who showed up around 4:30 or 5 Am to make biscuits. Well as they were making them, they heard a car crank up! They went and unlocked the door to the museum from the cafe and there sat old #50 -Gober Sosebee's 39' Ford revving up. Well one of the women went to call the police and they showed up pretty quick. But before they had gotten there, the car shut off. So they went to the main part of the museum and two muffled voices could be heard, but once the cops had turned on all the lights, there was nothing to be found. The weird part of it is, is that the Sosebee family always changes to a dead battery when it's in the museum, and usually the gas evaporates out of it too. Maybe it was Gober and his mechanic making a quick test run?

And one time shortly after this, one of our board member's daughter had an all-night birthday party in our banquet/meeting room in the back. Around 3 AM, they heard something strange and call the cops. And knowing there was a room full of 9 year-old girls, they were screaming their heads off. The police even stayed there till dawn.

Also when I first started volunteering at the Hall of Fame in 2008, if I would have to go into the back storage room behind the meeting room, I would get this erie feeling like i was being watched. It was just weird, but nothing like that has happened in years.

One more thing, around 2 or 3 years ago, I was with my dad and the crew at the museum until about 1 in the Am putting up signs and new displays. I had been there for about 15-16 hours and was dead tired, so I was sitting on a bench inside while the others were on the other side hanging stuff up. And I kept getting this feeling like there were people around looking.

I guess you could call us the Night at the Racing Museum.

Or his protested "first" win at Lakewood in 1959. Taken away by his father Lee.

Moonshiners & Revenuers Reunion Wasn't Open to the Public

General

Yeah andapprox. anywhere from $30-$40 for a half-gallon times two for a gallon. Say that's $80 times 100. That's $8000 a week. And if you can sell around that much each week, there's 52 weeks in a year, so that means a year, you could get $416,000 a year for moonshining. That's more than being a doctor and such...

How About That??? Another Ga Guy Back Wearing the Crown

Current NASCAR

Ga native, Max Gresham, finished third in this afternoon's K&N Race up in Dover to clinch the title. He drives for Joe Gibbs in the 18. Another hometown boy, Chase Elliott, blew a tire on lap 47 putting him out for the race. I think he will end up either 10th or 11th in the standings, even for all the bad luck he's had this year, and though winless, it wasn't a bad first year for Chase...
