Help Wanted!

General

Yes, Jimmy was there until he had a heart attack in 82' I believe. I will try and get an interview with him. He is feeling lots better.

Lol...I am the same way. I'm just not "up" on my MGR history as well as I need to be...but I'm getting there. I'd love to have an article about the moonshine still. But, all I have to go on are the things I can find on the web. Tommy Clinard did tell me of actually getting to see it once. And I met a gentleman in Macon who said his ..grandfather I believe helped to build it. I suppose interviewing him and talking again to Tommy would give me enough to to add to some general knowledge and create a decent article. I have asked Brandon Reed of georgiaracinghistory.com to lend some of his articles...he has agreed, but I do not know which ones apply the best. He has one about Jimmy Mosteller that is awesome and I know Jimmy was track announcer there...the day the still was found.

I would also like to include some articles about the regular weekly racing....track champs...etc. I'm hoping I can stir this up and get a few original articles before the dead line.

And....since this Reunion is for all the tracks in the area...even the drag strips, we can expand the search.

Glen Wood 65 trip to Daytona Race.

General

I know Raymond Parks always went until his last few years. So from 1938 to maybe 2007? I don't think he went in 2010, but I could be wrong.

Happy Birthday Wally

General

Happy Birthday Wally! And as a side note Tim, as a coincident, I heard yesterday on the local radio that the oldest person died and the "new" oldest person is 114 years old and living in Walton County Ga. Didn't mean to get off topic...-Cody

Wally Bell has a birthday??????????? How is that possible? I was checking the Gueness Book of Records last night and the oldest person on the planet is 113 and she isn't named Wally Bell. I assumed Wally was not so named because he quit counting at 113. Oh well, live and learn. I guess by HIS age, he should know it all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gary Lewallen's Trailer Stolen

General

I need to really be more cautious on my typing...I'membarrassedbecause I realized that I put "I don't care it was stolen" I meant to say, I don't care HOW it was stolen, that doesn't really matter, the point is, it shouldn't have been done in the first place.

Sorry

I hope they find it soon. Stealing is just despicable! And the worst part is...is that the crime rate is rising. I belong to a hot rod club/message board, and it's becoming more now, but they're always reports of these nice rods being stolen from hotel parking lots when traveling, not only that, but also out of garages. I'm not sure how Gary's trailer...but personally, I don't care it was stolen, it just needs to be returned/found and the steelee (if that's even a word. lol) needs to be severely punished!

Cody I believe they are talking about Shelbyville, Tenn. which is about 50 miles from Nashville, Tenn.. The listing is for Nashville, Tenn.. NC has a Shelby, NC but as far as I know NC does not have a Shelbyville.
