Turns out it was Smithfield's hams vs. Tyson's chickens. News reports say the Tyson driver, who was pulled from his wrecked cab, suffered only minor injuries.

So NASCAR might fine the CR England rookie for not running a yellow bumper?
In the wee hours this morning two trucks jockeying for position on the highway from Charlotte to Darlington crashed in Pageland, SC. No word yet as to whether a Petty #43 employee was wheeling the Smithfield Foods truck!
How often have you seen the Editorial Page Editor filing race reports? Owen is one talented individual. Associated Press even let Owen file West and Truck stories directly, including agate. No wonder Bob Barkheimer, Ken Clapp and NASCAR were anxious to hire him to head up NASCAR West coast publicity. On top of that, Owen and his wife were simply great people with a passion for stock car racing. His retirement was our loss.
That winning Gary Johnson car looked like it was doing the familiar soft springs "Petty Roll" coming out of the corner.
Of course, with the track located at Ararat, there is the possibility of finding an ark on the property.
Never mind.... this Ararat, Virginia track just across the border North of Winston-Salem is listed as used. Let me know if you find a new track for sale! Maybe Randy Myers would want this one.
Thanks, Dennis. Never knew (or long ago forgot) that HB won in Grand American.
