RODEO GOAT >>>>RIGHT HERE<<<<<<<!!!!!
If you have ever been stopped somewhere, by a total stranger and told, "Hey!!! I recognize you! I got some danged good footage of you on film last weekend at the racetrack!" And you are still, trying to remember that night....you just probably ARE a Rodeo Goat....
Wow..Dave, I am so glad that "particular" topic came up the other night! Otherwise, I might never had the chance to read this. As I have always said...I do so want a signed copy of your first Book. I am sure that it will keep me entertained for quite sometime. From a teacher's point of view....A+ in "Descriptive Writing"!!
LOVED IT!!
Please feel free to visit this page, and if so inclined sign the guesbook and make people aware of this wonderful site. This site has been a saving grace for me in the past few weeks, losing my Pop and now Porky. At the Homepage of the Funeral Home, there is list of recent obituaries on the page, and it almost reads like a Racing Lineup, with Thompkins and Edwards on there.Thank you all for the love and support you have shown me...the kind that can only come from a "Racing Family"...much love...Patsy

It is okay, Pkl.....I may be calling you in the next few weeks when things have settled down. And, I trust God they will....right now,it has been a time ofsolitude and reflection for me.I know now that the Lord DEFINITELY let me find you for this very reason...and I thank Him so much for the gift of you all. I have cried...I have prayed.....all in the comfort of the Lord's arms......Love ....Patsy

Patsy, forgive me; I should have made that connection. I didn't know Jim (Porky), but I did see his name on your page. When I saw the death announcement, my brain didn't link the two until now. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you once again. If this is your time of trial, you seem to be passing the test with flying colors. But...it's OK to cry and it's more than OK to reach out to loving family and friends.
God bless you HonMany, many hugs,
Thank you so much Dr. Woodberry.....I thank God I can feel His comforting arms around me....Patsy

Almost two weeks ago, I lost Pop. Today I lost one of the best friends I ever had....my heart is broken. Porky grew up watching my Pop race the cars that his Dad (Jimmy,Sr) built. He always said he learned everything he knew about racing and handling a car from Pop. I last saw him when Pop passed away, he said that he would get his Dad's scrapbooks, time trial sheets and pics together so I could have the stats on Pop's career. True to his word...his wife (Sharon) told me earlier on the phone he had done exactly that two or three days this week. He was a controvesial driver...just as Pop was, however, they knew how to put on a show for the fans.....and they knew how to win. Rest in peace "My Friend", you will be greatly missed....and I hope you gave my Pop a great big hug for me......
I will be donating tomorrowin memory of "Chubby Thompkins" and "Porky Edwards"
