As Dave said this is one of those "never forget where you were days". When I heard the news I rushed in and saw the second plane hit and knew it was no accident. I was asked to comeout of retirement andwork for Homeland Security as a training consultant/Instructor. The next 7 months was a blur as I worked 238 consective days without a day off. I did every Airport west of the Mississippi including Guam and Hawaii and Anchorage . Needless to say the ole race carstayed inthe shop and was a welcome way to unwind and get back into as normal way of life as possible.
oh come on Legend, quit holding back....you're mellowing out too much... lol....
lol...Johnny, If he could take his eyes off her bumper long enough to hear the instructions he might get out of the first round.....but. no pun intended, the look or sneer on her face at the end of his move say's it all.. end of story...this judge says......... X thumbs down...
to start 28th and finish 5th was quite a feat for Lorenzen with the talent in this race. great race report.
I just received an email that said Stub Weigartz had lost his battle with Cancer. Stub raced throughout the 50's& 60"s in New York and Pa. He ran at Daytona in1957.
My sincere condolences to his family, friends and many fans.
nice looking vintage car. I looked at the 2 shipping quotes and thought $1500 plus was a bit steep...might still bid tho....thanks Johnny.
heh Chase, now that I'm much closer, maybe I can come over and play cars after work...lol. nice find.
lol, Dave, I know you're bored from being housebound while recovering but this is hitting below the belt.. I hate to hear that said Legend threw his TV out the window when twinkle toes start's gyrating. Wonder if Mikey will be able to be silent while two stepping......
Dave, If I had a dream race to attend it would be this one. Thanks so much for all the pics and love those old sportsman coupes....
