Lol. Dave, you sure brought back a memory I hadn't had in many years. There wasn't anything as annoying as a V-6 wound up to about 8500 rpm. Sounded like a sick swarm of bee's. Thanks for taking me back......

Very sad situation. From the news account the sprint car went thru an "opening in the track" . I saw an almost identical situation last year at Bronson speedway here in Florida. A race car's throttle stuck open and he hit the outside wall 5 feet from the opening where the next group was sitting,waiting to take the track. The pit exit/entrance flag person just jumped out of the way a split second from being run over. There were several people/crew standing talking to the drivers of the waiting cars. If the car had went 5 feet further and hit the opening he would have went at full speed between the 2 rows of cars.
As others have said, my heart and prayers go out to the families of those killed and to the young driver involved.
I had the pleasure of watching him last year at New Smyrna and for a 19 yr old he really impressed me. I think we will hear a lot more of this talented young man...

Not sure I understand where we "got it wrong" The lead article stated Nationwide series. I am simply stating that Maybe DW was remiss when he said on air that Kyle took off his steering wheel to soon. I am well aware that this was not cup but in my opinion the series doesnt really matter, JM was just saying and I was agreeing that the current drivers in what ever class seem to like the wheel to close in our opinion..Thats not starting rumors or anything remotely close to that.
Simply stating an opinion or have a pleasant discussion seems to become less fun when you're told its not the truth, is wrong or starting rumors.
