Great article Dave. I had heard a ton of stories about Jimmy when I first moved to Dayton in 1966 and went to several local tracks. He was still running and running well in those days..

at least the view of the yellow flag parade laps was infinitely better than the pointed head of Lil' Mikey when he turned the profile...
lol, as they say up here in Georgia " If it don't fit then you must hit". An exact measurement is all that's needed to fill that spot and take advantage of some good ole side drafting....
love the race car with the license plate still on the car...those were the days for sure.
