September 29 - This day in Petty history 9/29/63 - Richard finishes 26th in a field of 28 in the Wilkes 400 driving car #41. Finishing just ahead of him in 25th spot is Jimmy Massey in a 2nd #43 Petty Plymouth entry.9/29/68 - Richard wins the Wilkes 400 at North Wilkesboro.
