Were you the Coke announcer in 1969 when these guys came to Alton?

Yes, I was! As I recall, the track announcer's name was "Dorcey" or "Darcy". Do you remember his name?

His name was Dorsey Matheny, a local Alton guy. From what I hear he had a very hot wife, but that's for another website. Can you help me identify the guys in this photo? Mike

Bobby Rowe, U/K, U/K, Leonard Woods, Jr.Think the kneeling guys are Coke dudes. If you can get me a much clearer scan of the photo I'd be willing to pass it around for other to ID the perpetrators!

As concerns Dorcey. He "chewed" and would announce with one hand holding the mike and the other a Pepsi cup into which he would spit the juice. Every once in awhile he'd forget which hand held which! It was at that point I decided to always carry my own mikes - just in case.
