this is Jr. Hanley's crash from Mt. Clemens Speedway in Michigan on July 19,1979. Think it was going into turn 3 and slow car moved up on him and sent him through guardrail. Almost killed him. Piece of fence post couple feet long and about a 4x4 went through firewall and into cockpit. Bent steering shaft and wheel. I have other pics of the car where you can see the wood in the cockpit. I also have a piece of the car. Got him to sign it as well that night. Want to know anything else about it just let me know.

I remember reading about this when it happened. It was a close call.
