Wade Stephens of Hickory was killed in a traffic accident June 2, 1971.
Dick Poling was at Darlington in 1971 for the Rebel 400, but did not qualify for the race which had a full field.
Only took me 7 years to find this photo - and now I'm confused by Dargan's comment. Poling DID race in 15 GN/Cup races. But he didn't race at Darlington, and he raced #62 in only 2 races: 1971 spring Wilkesboro and summer 1971 Dixie 500 at Atlanta.
Possible that is Ron Keselowski in the 62? Maybe 1970 at Daytona?
