Link to 1985 New York Times story about Jarrell Truck Plaza, north of the Richmond track on I-95:
Don't recall anyone but pretty girls riding with Clellan, Dennis.
Did any big name people ridden in this Cady during pre-raced parade laps?
Wonder how many races/pre-raced parade laps did this Cady was in?
Might be an record for the most used pre-raced parade car?
Wonder if this Cady is in a race/ race car museum?

Dennis, back around that time, "Big John" Trimble was broadcasting his overnight live truckers' show (heard all over the country) from Jarrell's Truck Plaza over clear channel, 50,000-watt WRVA radio in Richmond. John later became program director/GM at WXGI.
Right, Dennis Granger - that IS the late Henry Benfield, gas man and truck driver for the Junior Johnson team walking behind the King on his STP bike.
Wilkesboro had no inside pit wall or rail to separate crews from pit road. It was an extremely dangerous place for pit crews. NASCAR should have mandated protection for the crews, but a lot of "wink wink" went on by NASCAR at Wilkesboro for Big Bill France's former promotional partner, Enoch Staley and later son, Mike.
