Interesting to note that Ray Platte's and Ned Jarrett's cars were both built by Ralph Earnhardt. Norfolk's Platte would later lose his life at South Boston Speedway driving a modified usually driven by Bobby Isaac.
Is Sellers the man with his leg up on the pit wall, or the man with the radio to his ear? I have never seen a pic of Mack Sellers, so thank you for sharing this!
I used to listen to Universal Racing Network broadcasts of the 60s races there and have a reel-to-reel tape somewhere from when I taped the '64 race won by Ned Jarrett. The late Dick Jones, sportscaster on WITN Television in Little Washington, NC did the play by play.
