From what I've heard, this IS the first special paint scheme in the modern era (or when DW believes Nascar started, when he came into play) So I know Petty had some cars in 68 that had a black and white top, but this is in modern era.

Was this the same year as the yellow PEPSI car? I can't say that I have ever seen this one.

I was at the Winston 500 when he was involved in the "big one" in this car
