Would this be a scene shot from a movie production? I recognize most of the cars in front of the 34 as cars from the current Carolina Vintage Club.

i was very upset when i saw this shot from an article about the movie. i'm glad they're making a movie about scott, but i wish they would haveused more historically correct cars for the portion on his race win. the cars used in the actual race were 1962-64 model year with scott in a 1962 chevy. some accounts say itwas an impala while others say it was a bel-air. oh well, it has to be better than the richard pryor fiasco "greased lightning" made in the 80's.

my mistake. it was run in 1963 with 62-63 model carsexcept for one 1961 pontiac driven by possum jones. the race was the third for the 1964 season asNASCAR used to start their season in november.

I saw that movie last year, pretty good I must say. I have friends say it's the best movie ever filmed about racing!
