Now this is pretty cool. Didn't realize Sr once drove an 88 car. Was this one fielded by Robert Gee? Seems I remember Dale Jr mentioning Gee's name during the whole saga of "what number will Dale Jr run at HMS?" And I'll give Jr props for appreciating racing history - so perhaps it was a nod to this car that helped decide his current number.

This wasn't Dale. This was Donnie Allison running at Martinsville.
