Another 1st timer for me. I've seen shots of KP's #42 late model at Caraway. But I've never seen this 44 car. Need someone like Chris Hussey to chime in here about this one.

I think this was the dirt car Kyle ran at Myrtle Beach in '79 or '80 when they plowed up the asphalt. Not sure where else it might have run? KP use to tell a funny story about this experience when grandpa Lee went along. Beamer or Steve Hmiel can probably tell you more about this car.

Kyle also ran this car or one just like it Richard Brickhouse's (dirt)Pender County Raceway outside of Wilmington in the late 70's...Raffled off his helmet that night and a good friend won it, still has it.

If I can find the negatives and scan them I'll post a shot or two of Kyle at the first World Crown 300 at Georgia International. $50,000.00 first place to Dick Trickle. I'm not sure if Kyle made the show or not. I was wearing several hats there at the time so I missed a lot of the details.

William, Kyle did mention that as well. That may have been where this photo was taken.

Chris, if this is the same car and I believe it is..I think they bought it from Hoss Ellington, got it home and decided / discovered it needed some Petty Enterprises TLC and alot of it.If it is that car it was originally put together by Billy Todd from Wilmington and sold to Hoss for a couple of dirt shows for him to drive..That is what I remember anyway. I do not remember Kyle wearing that shirt though, lol.
