The photo is from Feb. 1981 at Daytona in the days before green grass in the tri-oval. After Daytona we narrowed the letters in the word "Wrangler" by outlining them in black like you see in the photo below of my daughter in the Wrangler showcar at The Big Ben Store in Bristol, Virginia later in the year.

The staged photo was posed for a shot by our Wrangler photographer, the late Dozier Mobley, but I don't know who took the shot you posted.
