DECATUR, Ind. - The experts at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) have powered the 2012 ZL1 Camaro to its first run in the 10s, making an impressive 10.79 quarter-mile pass at 134.36 mph at Muncie Dragway in Albany, Ind.

Just two weeks after taking ownership of the manual ZL1 Camaro, Lingenfelter did what they do best, making slight engine modifications to squeeze additional power out of the car. The LPE-tuned ZL1 featured a Lingenfelter GT9 camshaft; CNC ported cylinder heads; an increased supercharger speed thanks to a 2.3 top pulley and a 5% overdriven bottom pulley; and a custom air intake with LPE's race Driven by Johnny Ebert, the Lingenfelter ZL1 ran on VP 109 unleaded race fuel with Nitto NT05R drag radials and CCW drag pack wheels.
