THE EARLY DAYS REVISITED

YORK, PA - Every second full weekend of July the early days of drag racing at York US 30 Dragway are revisited.

From the early makeshift timing tower that was portable and pulled onto the grass near the starting line to the

modern tower that is one of the most recognized timing towers in this country.

A host of legends within the drag racing community visit the York Expo Center, York Fairgrounds to rub elbows

with their friends each year either as friendly foes or just plain race fans enjoying the comradery of their

heros they witnessed charging from the starting line in combat with their rivals to win the race to the quarter

mile finish line.
