JULY 31, 2012 LEGENDTORIAL ~ In My Opinion

This week I’m not talking about cows, chickens, or goats.  I’m not confining myself to  just one issue because I’m wound up about several things I want to address.  Like it or not, as I always say, these opinions are mine and you are entitled to yours.  I always welcome comments and while we may disagree, I will respect your comments enough to respond.  So, here we go.

ITEM ONE:  The A. J. Allmendinger matter cries for attention, although I am not exactly sure the direction this attention should take.  I believe that A. J. Allmendinger is not the kind of man who would knowingly violate any substance abuse policies of NASCAR, not only because he’s a pretty good guy in my book, but also because he is smart enough to understand what all he would risk by doing so.   It concerns me that NASCAR refuses to name the substance and at the same time indications are that medications I have taken for sinus congestion can cause the positive results. Those meds, along with many over the counter pain relievers and other OTC products can cause those tests to register positive to banned substances.
