Ever since the first sponsor appeared on the side of a racecar, there has always been a competitive side of advertising. This article was written after two different conversations about the same topic appeared on the discussion board here on RacersReunion this week. The first, started by Dave Fulton was about Dale Jr. saying something good of Schlitz beer, a direct competitor of his former sponsor of Budweiser. Then another topic appeared shortly after about some of the changes of drivers switching sponsors to a direct competitor of what they had.
