I bid you welcome gentle readers, as once again I'm privileged to bring to you a story about Billy Scott of Union South Carolina and also a very special friend of his named Junior Johnson, penned by Billy's lovely wife and my sister by another mother, Barbara. Sadly, this is the last one that I have from Barbara unless I can impose upon her to work a few more hours in an already long day and write some more. She is a veritable font of racing information, having lived and breathed it for all her married life. I saved this one purposely until Speedweeks in Daytona, as it will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 when the Living Legends of Auto Racing hold their 21st annual awards banquet, where Billy will be presented with their "Saturday Night Hero" award. No one could be more deserving, so what follows is but one tiny excerpt from what made Billy famous... the story of how he won an astounding three track championships all in the same year.
