“Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows”. I won’t attempt the evil laugh included in that opening by Orson Wells, but suffice it to say it gets your attention.
“With a cloud of dust and a hearty Hi Ho Silver”, would let us know the Lone Ranger and Tonto were soon to ride into the room.
“Up in the sky; It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Superman” and then we would hear how he was “more powerful than a locomotive, faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound”. Then we would hear Perry White, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen all talking with or about Clark Kent and/or Superman.
