As an opening to this week's discussions, I had thought about a poem... one of my childhood favorites... by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow entitled, "The Children's Hour", but found it quite a stretch to move from his gentle words to where I wanted to wind up, so I swept out the dusty corners of an aged brain and came up instead with an old English nursery rhyme of varied origins... the names credited to poet John Byrom but the characters "brought to life" if you will, by Lewis Carroll. I'm sure you'll all recognize it soon enough.
