I thought, for a brief time, that I may get out a dictionary and provide a total definition of the word “integrity” as that seems to be the word of the week with NASCAR since the Richmond debacle. Then I decided most of you probably have your own dictionary somewhere in the house. There is always the option of looking up the word on line. Really, as sappy as this may sound, I learned my definition of “integrity” from the man who was my father, Ralph Leeming. I was also blessed to have be around men like Walter Gunter, Sr., Lewis Ashford, Pete Leitner, Buck Watson, Bill Amaker, and others of my father’s generation while growing up. Integrity was a word they lived in everything they did. Truth was not just an option for those men, it was the way of life from which they never strayed.
