DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - This the third in a series of 11 articles connected with the Back To The Roots event andthe Victory Lane Racing Association Awards Banquet scheduled for February 17 and 18. On Monday, February 17, starting at 5 p.m., The Back To The Roots event will highlight the placing of commemorative bricks in the Walk of Fame at Main Street Station, where Bill France once had his service station/garage. Five people will be honored and they are: Bettie Panch, Crystal Pistone, Marion Cox, Olin Hope and Dick Trickle. In addition, more than 30 legends will be on hand to sign autographs and the evening will wrap up with an auction of racing memorabilia, with the proceeds going to the Legends Helping Legends Benefit Fund. Several vintage cars will be displayed on the property.
