DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - This is the sixth of eleven articles saluting ten individuals and one group who will be honored at the ninth annual Victory Lane Racing Association Awards banquet scheduled for Tuesday, February 18 at the Pelican Bay Golf and Country Club, 350 Pelican Bay Drive. We salute famed car owner/builder Marion Cox, who will receive the highest honor offered by the organization, the Pioneer in Racing Award, which will be presented by one of his youngest and most successful drivers, Haskell Willingham. Cox will be recognized the night before when he joins Olin Hope, Bettie Panch, Crystal Pistone and Dick Trickle by having a brick placed in their honor in Main Street Station's Walk of Fame.
